My Work

My most recent and best projects are shown here. Custom orders will open up in the future.

Memento
Mori

The phrase Memento Mori refers to "remember you have to die" in Latin, used to remind us how death is inevitable. This capsule collection invokes the dark concept with deep sensuality and a modern twist.

Memento Mori
by Alexandra Mot

The look is the first of 3 looks for my capsule collection in June 2025.

The outfit was inspired by the question: what kind of pants would a Victorian lady wear if she were allowed to wear them at the time? Additionally, it explores how a modern outfit could incorporate Victorian elements in a way that is neither "costume-y" nor basic, something wearable but with a distinctive flair.

Top made with strong satin and organza, featuring a lace-up back and boning for structure. Bell-bottom pants made with black denim and hand-dyed satin ruffles adorn the slit up the lower half. Purple top stitching completes the black-and-purple color combination throughout the look. The cage skirt was made by using a hoop skirt's hoops and merging them with hand-dyed cotton tapes.

The second look of three of my capsule collection in June 2025.

The idea was to create a sexy but intriguing crochet look using stiches I haven't used before. This project took around 150 hours to complete.

I used a weight 2 sparkly, color variegated acrylic yarn from Hobbii for the top and sleeves and a cotton purple to black ombre, weight 2 yarn for the skirt. The skirt took more than 800 yards of yarn.

Third and final look of this capsule collection in June 2025.

Inspiration revolved around the corset, I really wanted to make a faux leather corset with some lace up details at the front. The deep cut between the cups is held together by purple ties, and the design features around 100 hand punched grommets. Structure is provided by boning. The skirt is a simple handkerchief shape that still gives a dramatic and sexy effect to the look. All 3 models are wearing my crochet lace chokers that have a wide purple ribbon running through them.

Web of Lies

I discovered how much I love making spiderweb with crochet and turning it into garments. This is my second, more recent attempt that took around 19 hours to complete. Made with Bernat Lattice yarn that has a soft black casing for red threads that shine through. The front features a lace-up detail to hold it closer to the body.

Medieval Princess
by Alexandra Mot

This crochet dress is made of two pieces that are held together at the underbust so it can be separated into a 2 piece set as well, which is great for variability. Made with acrylic weight 4 yarn and made up of shell stitches all over, it has a feminine feel like no other. The little puff at the top of the sleeves that continues into a bell sleeve is reminiscent of the late 60s revival of medieval clothing elements and movies made at the time like Camelot.
